It's beginning to look alot like..... in retail we start early, so Fall has left and Christmas arrived!
The shop is transformed, as I am! Wow, it is early and I've done a ton of work so already I am ready to sit back and enjoy.........wait, not so fast........there are "events" to plan, execute and recover from.
Events are: Nov 17-25 Chamilia Promotion, Nov 27 Black Friday, Open Sundays 12-4 from Nov 29 thru Dec 20 and Open House on Dec 3! So, no time to relax yet.
Some retailers take their vacation in July which sounds great to me since there is no rest for the weary during the Holiday Season, BUT we LIVE and BREATHE for this season... all year we plan for and look forward to this time of year.
My point is, no matter how much work it is, no matter how many things I need to do and how much time/effort and $ goes out for this time of year......... I LOVE IT. I have always enjoyed the energy this time of year. I see alot of happiness out there in the malls and restaurants, people out and about shopping for the perfect gift for their friend, co-worker or loved one. It is positive energy and I feed on it!
I am getting carried away with my thoughts so for now I will just say.... "Happy Holidays"!
and I will catch you in '10!
